Cancer that can be transmitted is a cancer cell or a group of cancer cells that can be transferred between individuals without involvement of infectious agents, such as onco virus. Transmission of cancer among humans is rare.
Infectious cancer is known to occur in dogs, Tasmanian devils, Syrian hamsters, and some sea bivalves including soft-shell shells. This cancer has a relatively stable genome when transmitted.
In humans, a significant fraction of Kaposi's sarcoma occurring after transplantation may be due to the growth of donor cell tumors. Although Kaposi's sarcoma is caused by a virus (sarcoma associated with Kaposi's sarcoma), in these cases, it appears that the transmission of virus-infected tumor cells - not free viruses - causes tumors in transplant recipients.

Famous cases
- A case of transmission of parasitic cancer to a host occurs in a 41-year-old man in Colombia with an HIV-impaired immune system. The male tumor cell proved to be derived from the dwarf tapeworm, Hymenolepis nana .
- A malignant fibrous histiocytoma is transmitted from the patient to the surgeon when he injures his hand during surgery.

Other animals
Clonally-transmitted cancers, caused by artificial malignant cells, not viruses, are a very rare disease modality, with some transmitted cancers known Animals that have been congested with the population may be at greater risk of contracting cancers that can be transmitted. Because of their transmission, it was initially thought that the disease was caused by oncovirus transfer, by way of cervical cancer caused by HPV. However, the transmitted canal canal canines mute the expression of the immune response, whereas the Syrian hamster disease spreads due to a lack of genetic diversity.
- Canine transmilsible venereal tumor (CTVT) is a sexually transmitted cancer in dogs. The experimental was transplanted between dogs in 1876 by M. A. Novinsky (1841-1914). A single malignant CTVT cell clone has a dog that is colonized worldwide, representing the oldest known malignant cell line in continuous propagation.
- Cellular reticulum cell sarcoma transmitted to a Syrian hamster can be transmitted from a Syrian hamster to another hamster by means of a mosquito bite Aedes aegypti .
- Devil facial tumor disease (DFTD) is a parasitic cancer that can be transmitted to Tasmanian devils.
- Soft-shell shells, Mya arenaria , have been found to be susceptible to the neoplasms that can be transmitted from the hemolymphatic system - effectively, leukemia. Horizontally transmitted cancer has also been found in three other species of marine bivalves: bay shells (Mytilus trossulus ), common shells ( Cerastoderma edule ) and shell carpet shells gold ( Polititapes aureus ). Cancer shells of lime gold carpets have been found to be transmitted from other species, carpet shell pullet (Venerupis corrugata ââi>).
