Johnny Savas Joannou (April 22, 1940 - May 6, 2016) is an American politician from the Democratic Party. He was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 1976 to 1983, the Virginia Senate from 1984 to 1991, and the House of Representatives from 1998 to 2016. He last represents the 79th district, comprising parts of the Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Suffolk cities. Joannou died of lung cancer, on May 6, 2016, in Portsmouth, Virginia.
