Colorectal Cancer Alliance is the largest and oldest nonprofit organization of colorectal cancers in the US.

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance offers a range of patient support services including grant programs, monthly webinars, helplines, chat forums and the Buddy Program, which provides an opportunity for survivors and caregivers to connect with someone who has been through a similar experience. Organization serves as a source of information about colorectal health. The Colorectal Cancer Alliance also distributes colorectal cancer awareness items and printed materials.

The organization received the 4th straight rank from Charity Navigator, and retained the 'Accredited Accreditation' status of the Better Business Bureau. This organization is tax exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is eligible to receive a deductible contribution as a charitable donation for federal income tax purposes.

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance was founded on March 18, 1999, as the Colon Cancer Alliance, after being incorporated in the state of Delaware. The foundation is the result of a group of 41 victims, caregivers and friends "who see the need to educate the public about colon cancer and provide support to those affected by the disease."

The organization's first annual meeting took place in Washington, DC, after which a new board of directors took office.

In early 2016, the Colon Cancer Alliance joins Cancer Foundation Colon Chris4Life, a research-focused non-profit colon cancer foundation in 2010. After the merger, the Colon Cancer Alliance retains its name, and becomes a nonprofit organization focused on the largest colorectal cancer. in the United States.

On November 1, 2017, the foundation was officially renamed the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.

Programs and Services

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance provides services in the areas of patient and family support, research funding and prevention efforts. The organization also promotes National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Months observed in March each year, and Dress in Blue Day, held on the first Friday of each March.
