The Neuroblastoma Children's Cancer Alliance UK, commonly referred to as NCCA UK, is a British charity that helps children and families affected by neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer. Charities help families by helping them access and raise funds for the care of their children abroad when no treatment is available in the UK, offering research support and funding into the condition.

History
The charity was founded in April 2006 as the 2Simple Trust. The charity initially had a broad purpose, but the guardians decided to focus on helping children with neuroblastoma after learning of the potential for saving the lives of children of parents, Yvonne Brown, whose son Jack was diagnosed with the disease.
Despite receiving pioneering care abroad that his parents had funded, Jack Brown died in 2009. The charity continues its work with families affected by neuroblastoma and by January 2013 has funded care for 21 children abroad.
In 2011, the charity was renamed Neuroblastoma Children's Cancer Alliance UK, abbreviated NCCA UK.

Financial aid for care
The Neuroblastoma Alliance UK helps families access and raise funds for the care of their children abroad. New treatments for neuroblastoma are being tested in the UK, but if children do not meet the criteria for trials, or require treatment only available abroad, families should pay for their child care abroad.
The cost of treatment abroad varies from about Ã, Â £ 80,000 for treatment in Germany up to Ã, Â £ 300,000 for treatment in the United States.
The charity has a number of appeals for children who are raising funds to receive treatment abroad. Some families supported by charities have attracted media attention and celebrity endorsements for their fundraising campaigns.
Support for families
Charities help families affected by neuroblastoma by placing them in touch with other families who have experienced similar situations. It also organizes events for parents so they can meet other families and learn more about progress in research and care.
Research
NCCA UK has funded research, including a project at University College Hospital, London, which aims to improve radiation care for patients with neuroblastoma.
