The BC Cancer Agency is part of the Provincial Health Services Authority in British Columbia, Canada. The agency has a three-part mission:
- To reduce the incidence of cancer.
- To reduce the death rate of cancer patients.
- To improve the quality of life of people living with cancer.

Facilities
The first cancer treatment center BC Cancer Agency (later known as British Columbia Cancer Institute) officially opened in Vancouver on 5 November 1938.
The BC Cancer Agency operates six regional cancer centers (in Abbotsford, Kelowna, Prince George, Surrey, Vancouver and Victoria) and the BC Cancer Research Center, with departments in Vancouver and Victoria.
Basically all radiotherapy services in British Columbia are provided by BC Cancer Agency, as well as most chemotherapy services. The agency works with local health authorities throughout the province to provide cancer clinics in areas far from six major cancer centers, to cover the rural areas of British Columbia and Yukon. In addition, BC Cancer Agency provides prostate brachytherapy services to the province of Saskatchewan.

Project
In 2000, the agency partnered with the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center to create a Chinese Women's Health Project that provides culturally competent outreach programs to improve cervical cancer screening rates among these populations.
Fundraising
By raising funds in the community, BC Cancer Foundation, an independent charity organization, provides direct support for research and improvement of care at the BC Cancer Agency. Founded in 1935, BC Cancer Foundation is an independent charity organization that raises and safeguards resources to directly support breakthrough research and loving care at the BC Cancer Agency throughout the province of British Columbia. With the best cancer survival rate in Canada, BC Cancer Agency has become a model for cancer care and control worldwide. Donations for the BC Cancer Foundation directly support research at the BC Cancer Agency including support for salaries, for the construction of the BC Cancer Research Center in Vancouver and Victoria, and for equipment. In addition to funding basic research at BC Cancer Agency, BC Cancer Foundation also provides funding for clinical research, prevention and improvement for patient care. In 2009, the BC Cancer Foundation provided the BC Cancer Agency with nearly $ 33 million.
Events
The BC Cancer Foundation is a beneficiary of major fundraising events including: The Weekend to End Women's Cancers, two days, walks 60 kilometers through Vancouver streets to support breast cancer research and improved care at the BC Cancer Agency, collecting more than $ 19 million to date. The BC Affair Foundation, The Brief Affair 2010, runs 10 kilometers/5 kilometers through Vancouver, collecting $ 552,000 to support prevention and early detection at the BC Cancer Agency of the seven cancers below. The BC Cancer Foundation 2007 Tour of Courage features special guest appearances by cancer survivors and cycling legends, Lance Armstrong and raised more than $ 1.8 million for blood cancer research. BC Cancer Foundation's 2010 Ride to Conquer Cancer collected more than $ 9.2 million for cancer research at BC Cancer Agency, making it the most successful fundraising event in the Foundation's history.
The Foundation has offices in five BC Viller's Agency care centers: Abbotsford, Fraser Valley, South Interior, Victoria (Vancouver Island) and Vancouver.
